You may remember that when Bill Clinton was selecting the US Attorney General, the person who enforces our laws, he had a hard finding a candidate who hadn't cheated on her taxes (Zoe Baird and KimbaM. Wood). New York State is pursuing Al Franken for a $25,000 penalty over allegedly unpaid worker's compensation insurance. Mr. Franken is campaigning for the Democratic nomination for US Senate from Minnesota. PowerLine notes a previous Democratic Minnesota senator, and liberal champion of the little guy, Paul Wellstone failed to pay for worker's compensation insurance for his employees including the four who needed it when they died with him in his tragic plane crash.
