Global warming and the test of science, III

A successful scientific theory must stand the test of experiment. So far, predictions by those who believe that CO2 has a dominant effect on climate have not done well. For example:
  • "North Pole May Be Ice-Free for First Time This Summer"--headline, National Geographic Web site, June 20, 2008
  • "Arctic Ice to Last Decades Longer Than Thought?"--headline, National Geographic Web site, Sept. 21, 2009
Previous failures of global warming theories are discussed here and here.
