AP admits Obama sounds contradictory

Remember when Pres. Obama was considered to be a brilliant and awe-inspiring speaker? That has changed: the Associated Press has discovered that Obama's statements can be "contradictory":
After insisting for a year that failure was not an option, President Barack Obama is now acknowledging his health care overhaul may die in Congress.

His remarks at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Thursday night sounded contradictory at times, ....
As long as Obama was leading the country to the glorious progressive future, it seemed that such faults were not worth reporting on. Now that his agenda has stalled, the AP is discovering that the former Messiah might have human failings. They noticed that he called, on the one hand, for a continued focus on health care:
"Here's the key, is to not let the moment slip away," Obama also said.
Yet, on the other hand, at the same fundraiser, he appeared to accept the failure of Obamacare:
"And it may be that ... if Congress decides we're not going to do it, even after all the facts are laid out, all the options are clear, then the American people can make a judgment as to whether this Congress has done the right thing for them or not," the president said. "And that's how democracy works. There will be elections coming up and they'll be able to make a determination and register their concerns one way or the other during election time."
The AP reports that these inconsistencies are leaving Congressional Democrats leaderless and twisting in the wind:
Lawmakers are looking to Obama for a path forward, but he has not publicly offered specifics. His signals have been mixed. ....

Rank-and-file Democrats are eager for them to settle on [a path ahead for health care] by the end of next week, after which lawmakers will return to their states and districts for a weeklong recess where they'll likely face questions from voters on the issue.
What the AP does not report is that the inconsistency may itself be a strategy: Democrats need to make their activist base think they are pressing ahead with Obamacare at the same time that they need to reassure moderates that they will do no such thing.

Heh. Even BHO can see the writing on the wall. He knows what's going to happen in November and he knows socialized medicine is dead (for now). So he's setting up for the inevitable - later he can say "see, you didn't pass my health care plan and the American People rejected you". See if he doesn't.

::sigh::
sometimes I wonder if Obama has decided to fulfill one of his campaign themes. he promised to change the way Washington does business and to usher in an era of post-partisanship. once he won, he realized the only way to do this was to destroy the democratic party.

I'm sure I'm not the first, but I've been saying to people for quite some time that Obama's speeches are illogical and that he constantly contradicts himself. If his speeches are written by committee, with different parts being written by different people, perhaps no one on his staff takes the time to reconcile the different portions. Why Obama doesn't see the contradictions himself is important because it reveals a lot about the intellect of the man.

Maybe, the press and Obama moved to the center lane, and hit each other?

Goy, I suspect you're right. Mr. Obama has never, ever taken responsibility for anything in his life. This is the first job in which he has to do so. Bet your bottom dollar he'll blow this off on Congress, not as a rejection of his a agenda by the people. That Congress screwed up the "process" and he/they "just didn't explain it well enough". That will be the excuse.

The day will come when the far left will accuse the right of planting with the intent of destroying the Democrat Party..Hope!!

Don't trust him; they're going to try to find a way to sneak it in by adding pieces of it to different bills, they'll try to cram things through with Executive Orders, or by using the bureaucracies.

They CANNOT be trusted! Our goal should be to not let Obama sign ONE MORE PIECE of legislation, NOT ONE, and to shine a very bright light on all his Executive Orders and nominations.
