Berkeley High to eliminate "white" science labs

The East Bay Express reports that Berkeley High School has a "dismal racial achievement gap, where white students are doing far better than the state average while black and Latino students are doing worse."  To solve that problem, School Governance Council voted "virtually unanimously" to "eliminate science labs and the five science teachers who teach them."   This is helpful because "the science labs were largely classes for white students."
